SSC MTS 2020 Official Notification

The SSC MTS 2020 examination’s official notification has been postponed due to the COVID-19
outbreak in India. According to the SSC Calendar, the Staff Selection Commission was expected to
release the SSC MTS 2020 Official Notification on June 2nd, 2020, but it was not released at the
specified time. It is now expected to be released on February 2nd, 2021. Once the official
notification is released, the syllabus, exam dates, exam pattern, vacancies, eligibility, and other

SSC MTS 2020 Examination Dates

According to the SSC 2020-21 Calendar, the SSC MTS Paper-1 is planned to be organized between
July 1 st to July 20 th , 2021. The schedule for other SSC examinations has been revised because of the

SSC MTS 2020 Exam’s Application Fee

The SSC MTS 2020 examination’s application fee is Rs. 100/-.

All the candidates who belong to ST, SC, ESM (Ex-Servicemen), and PWD category don’t have to pay
the application fee. Moreover, all the female candidates also don’t have to pay the application fee.

Exam Pattern – SSC MTS 2020

The SSC MTS 2020 exam will be organized in 3 levels: Paper-1, Paper-2 (Descriptive Exam), and
Paper-3 (Skill Exam). Paper-1 is conducted online, which contains multiple-choice questions. Paper-2
is carried out through pen and paper mode, which includes descriptive questions to be answered in
the English language or any other language allowed as per the government policies. Paper-3 is a skill
exam that is conducted according to the candidates’ convenience.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC MTS 2020 Exam

There are 3 main criteria that all the candidates are required to meet to get eligible for the SSC MTS
2020 examination. Let’s take a look at these 3 criteria:

1. Nationality: The candidate must be:

1. An Indian citizen
2. A subject from Bhutan or Nepal
3. A Tibetan Refugee
4. An individual belonging to Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma,
   Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Tanzania,
   or Zaire.

2. Age: All the candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 25 years.

Besides the defined age limit, the candidates who belong to the reserved categories are
given some age relaxation according to the government policies.

3. Education Qualification: The candidates are required to pass the Matriculation exam or
any other equivalent exam from an acknowledged State Board/Institute/University.
