SSC CPO 2020

SSC CPO 2020 exam is organized for recruiting applicants to the positions of Sub-Inspector in Central
Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police Department, and Assistant Sub-Inspector
in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The Staff Selection Commission has published the official
notification of the 2020 exam of SSC CPO on June 17 th , 2020. The online examination for the SSC CPO
Paper-1 will be supposedly held from November 23 rd to November 26 th , 2020.

SSC CPO Exam Dates 2020-21

The revised schedule for SSC CPO 2020 exam has been published jointly with the official notification
by the Staff Selection Commission. The SSC CPO Paper-1 2020 exam will be conducted from
November 23 rd to November 26 th , 2020. Please refer to the table below regarding all the important

Application Fee for SSC CPO 2020 Exam

All male candidates of the General (Unreserved) and OBC category have to pay an application fee of
Rs. 100 for the SSC CPO exam. All women candidates and those who belong to the SC, ST, and ESM
(Ex-servicemen) category are exempted from paying the application fee.

SSC CPO 2020 Vacancy

The Staff Selection Commission has published the job openings for the SSC CPO 2020 examination
along with its official notification. SSC has released 1564 openings for the SSC CPO 2020 exam. The
total vacancies were 2745 last year.

SSC CPO Salary

The table below explains the individual pay scale and salary of SI in CAPF, SI in Delhi Police
Department, and ASI in CISF.

Eligibility for SSC CPO 2020 Exam

There are three primary criteria that every candidate must fulfil to get eligible for the SSC CPO 2020
examination.

1. Educational Qualification:

1. An applicant must have completed graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) in any stream
   from an acknowledged University.
2. For the position of SI in the Delhi Police Department, all the male candidates must
   have a valid LMV drivers’ license on the date of their physical endurance test. If any
   candidate doesn’t have his driving license, he won’t be permitted to perform these
   tests.

2. Age Limit (As of January 1 st , 2021):

The candidates who wish to apply for SSC CPO 2020 should be between 20 to 25 years of
age.

3. Citizenship/Nationality:

A candidate willing to apply for the SSC CPO 2020 exam must be either of the following:

1. An Indian citizen
2. A subject from Bhutan
3. A subject from Nepal
4. Given that the candidate of categories b) and c) must be someone in the favour of
   whom the government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.
5. In the cases of such candidates where the eligibility certificate is required, they will
   be allowed to appear for the exam, but the appointment letter will only be provided
   to them after the government of India issues their certificate of eligibility.

Exam Pattern – SSC CPO

The questions asked in SSC CPO 2020 Exam’s Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be in the format of multiple-
choice type. The questions will be in both English and Hindi languages. There will be negative
marking, and 0.25 marks will be subtracted for every incorrect answer. The SSC CPO examination will
be organized in 3 phases:

The overall merit list of SSC CPO will be calculated based on the candidates’ performance in each of
the 3 phases.

The SSC CPO 2020 exam will have four main sections:

Admit Card – SSC CPO 2020

The Staff Selection Commission will issue the admit card for Paper-1 and Paper-2 of the SSC CPO
exam separately. All the candidates who are willing to apply for the SSC CPO 2020 exam can easily
download their admit cards for the respective papers much before the exam date. The admit cards
of the applicants will be available on the SSC’s official website. Candidates will need their
registration information beforehand for downloading their admit cards.
