SSC CGL Tier-2 Recruitment 2020
SSC is one of the most desirable institutions for government examinations in India. It organizes the
Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) examination every year for recruiting candidates in non-
technical Group B and C non-gazetted positions in several Departments, Organizations, and
Ministries of the Indian Government.

Summary: The SSC CGL Tier-1 online test was carried out from March 3rd to March 9th, 2020, while
the Tier-2 examination is postponed and will now be conducted from November 15th to November
18th, 2020. The online recruitment procedure for SSC CGL 2020-21 will start on December 12th,
2020.

SSC CGL 2020-21 Official Notification is anticipated to be released on December 12 th , 2020. The
online application time-window will remain open for 1 month from December 12 th , 2020 to January
15 th , 2021.
Exam Date for 2020 SSC CGL
At last, the Staff Selection Commission has published the complete SSC calendar and revised
schedule for all the SSC exams that will be conducted during 2020-21. The SSC CGL’s Tier-1 2019-20
online test has been already carried out from 2 nd Match to 9 th March 2020. The Tier-2 exam of CGL
will be organized from November 15 th to November 18 th , 2020, and Tier-3 will be organized on 22 nd
November 2020.

SSC CGL 2020 Vacancies
The vacancies for the SSC CGL 2019-20 examination have been released. In total, 8,582 vacancies
have been reported by the Staff Selection Commission of which 3,674 are announced for the people
belonging to the General category. There has been a decrease in vacancies against 11,271 in SSC CGL

Selection Process of SSC CGL
The SSC CGL 2020 Exam will be organized in 4 tiers, as mentioned below:
- All the candidates who successfully applied for the SSC CGL 2020 examination will be
allotted admit cards and roll numbers for performing the computer-based online exam (Tier-
1). - According to the marks obtained in the Tier-1 exam, applicants will be category-wise
shortlisted to appear in Tier-2 and Tier-3 exam.. - Individual cut-off marks will be determined for Paper-3 of Tier-2 (i.e., for the positions of
Statistical Investigator Grade-2 and JSO), Paper-4 of Tier-2 (i.e., for the positions of Assistant
Accounts Officer and Assistant Audit Officer), and for Paper-1 + Paper-2 of Tier-2 (i.e., for
other positions). - The exam for Tier-2 and Tier-3 will be organized for all the applicants who qualified in the
Tier-1 exam. - In Tier-2, all the applicants will be required to take Paper-1 and Paper-2. However, only
specific applicants shortlisted for the positions of Statistical Investigator/JSO and Assistant
Accounts Officer/Assistant Audit Officer will be asked to take Paper-3 and Paper-4,
respectively.
The Staff Selection Commission has implemented minimum passing marks in the SSC CGL Exam
2020. The minimum passing marks in Tier-1, every Paper of Tier-2 and Tier-3 exams are stated
below:
UR: 30% Marks
EWS/OBC: 25% Marks
Others: 20% Marks
